Gate: Ascot Park to St Mary's

The gate is the first thing you encounter at the house, so it has to work...

... and not fall on you during a downpour, coming off a rusty bracket that slices open your finger while investigating.


No one's fault, really. Just the passage of time. 

Fortunately, I already knew where to go, and that it was best by bike.

I'm surprised at how much difference a slight slope makes to the heart rate. The red dots are over 140 bpm. 

One workout later and both new brackets should last a few more years. 



It's hard to accept that there is no such thing as a permanent fix. Just some things that last longer than expected, and some things that don't.
