Tenants also left behind a racer.
Front and back derailleurs broken, and the pedal crank wobbly, but all it really needed to be ride-able was a change of rear tube and tyre.
It's clear the tenants didn't know how to do this. That's one thing I don't get about them. They've got no trouble buying nice bikes and just discarding them, but complain about rent.
Now that the spouse was coming to visit and we needed a second bike, it was time to order the parts and fix it. AUD$35 and an hour's work all up.
I'd forgotten how much fun these were to ride. Light, fast. It's not so much the speed, but the fact that I don't feel the headwinds.
With Google Maps to plot an optimum route, and my podcasts on, it's a 15km/h workout of pure joy.
